Hedda Layne judges Art Erotica

Don’t miss this unique event happening on Saturday night, March 26, 2011 at the Seaholm Power Plant at 8:30 p.m. Hedda Layne will be one of the celebrity judges for this art showing.

For over 20 years ArtErotica has been one of the most unique and scintillating art events in Austin. From lust to love, ArtErotica has it all; painted art, sculpture, fabrication, kitsch. It has been dubbed “Austin’s Sexiest Art Show,” by the Austin Chronicle. Come find something to tickle your fancy, including erotic desserts and specialty drinks.

ArtErotica started as a humble art show with big dreams. It was a way for the creative community to raise money for those in desperate need by selling works of art. Friends, lovers, and family came together to help – any way they could. The first party raised merely a few hundred dollars, but every dollar was extremely important for those who needed help with medications and bills then, just as it is today.

Over the years, ArtErotica has grown into quite an experience and quite the fundraiser. The event offers something of interest for everyone; the curious, the clubber, the exhibitionist and the voyeur. Even the art critic who raised a furtive brow walked away with a treasure. Hedda Layne SXSW Love on the Lawn Special Show

March 19, 2011 at 6 p.m. Live Performance at LOVE ON THE LAWN SXSW 1107 S. 8th Street, Austin, Texas. This will be a great SXSW event featuring new Hedda Layne songs from the upcoming album and a great line-up of Austin performers alongside special national and international talent all day long!

THE CONCERT AT LAKE MCQUEENEY

Join us on the hillside for a concert featuring Hedda Layne and Ginger Leigh on October 10 starting at 6 p.m. Remember that October 10th is a Sunday, but Monday, October 11 is a holiday – Columbus, Day! The venue is on the property of Mark Seward – Please RSVP to ginger@gleigh.com to get the address which is close to New Braunfels, TX. Also, be prepared with the following: bring a lawn chair or blanket, BYOB, $15 donation per person goes to the musicians and well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome!

There will be complimentary BBQ provided while it lasts! Be sure to let your friends know! The goal is to share Ginger and Hedda’s music with as many music-lovers as possible. Be prepared for a memorable evening on the lawn at Lake McQueeney!

Fundraiser for the LEAP Organization

Hedda Layne invites you to the Belmont on Thursday, August 5th at 6 p.m. for Music, Prizes and to Share the Love in this fundraiser The Leadership Enrichment Arts Program (LEAP). LEAP, established in 1989, is a unique, award-winning non-profit organization which has worked successfully with hundreds of predominately minority middle and high school students. For almost 20 years, LEAP programs have been a motivating force for African Americans and other underserved youth, assuring them that achievement is a viable option.

What a night!

So…as a lot of you know I play at The Belmont every 1st and 3rd Thursday. It is such a great venue to be able to share my talent under the stars. But tonight,.. I got to experiance being an audience member. I was blown away by Courtney Sanchez. She also had a special guest Kenny Williams.. a long time friend of hers in visiting from NYC. There was so much talent tonight on that stage. Just letting you all know that I feel a close connection with Courtney and so enjoyed her show.! Thank you sky for letting up on rain so we could continue our goodness and joy of the eve. Nite Nite all….

Hedda Layne’s Late Night Date at the Belmont

There will be special edition of the Hedda Layne Show at the Belmont this Thursday, July 15, from 10 p.m. to midnight.  Experience Hedda’s new ultra-mod stage-lit performance featuring new trip hop beats, dance and urban jazz sounds. 

The Belmont is located at 305 West 6th Street.

Austin’s New World Diva Returns to The Stage

The wait is over for loyal fans of Hedda Layne.  The divine chanteuse returns to the Austin nightlife scene on the first and third Thursday of every month, from 7 – 9 p.m. at The Belmont.  Fresh off the success of her latest recording, 4PLAY, Hedda and her musical director Troy Lee Warden have put together a new show that reflects the Belmont’s clubby, Rat Pack vibe, interweaving fresh interpretations of Hedda’s favorite standards with new material from 4PLAY.
